Makita JigsawA major tooling company had insufficient design information to rebuild a machine tool to continue the manufacture of a current casing. Helium3 were called in to piece together a selection of 2D drawings and 3D scans to recreate the data needed to machine the tool. Detail of original 2D drawing from which the 3D data was constructed

Using advanced modelling techniques built from years of experience, Helium3 analysed the 2D data and reconstructed the mould casing into a 3D computer model within a 0.5mm tolerance. Using this model, a new casing mould was designed and machined. Triangualted Point-clouod data from 3d scanning

Final 3d CAD deliverable
Helium3's delivery speed enabled our client to accurately and rapidly reproduce a new machine tool without effecting supply rate or quality. Tight tollerances ensured mechanical parts functioned as designed
Accurate form ensured a consistent brand experience
The product consisted of complex curves and surfaces
