Makita Jigsaw

A major tooling company had insufficient design information to rebuild a machine tool to continue the manufacture of a current casing. Helium3 were called in to piece together a selection of 2D drawings and 3D scans to recreate the data needed to machine the tool.

Using advanced modelling techniques built from years of experience, Helium3 analysed the 2D data and reconstructed the mould casing into a 3D computer model within a 0.5mm tolerance. Using this model, a new casing mould was designed and machined.
